The Advanced Yoga Teachers' Training Course allows graduates from the Sivananda Yoga Teachers' Training Course to deepen their spiritual practice and their study of Hatha yoga, Vedanta philosophy, Raja Yoga, anatomy and Sanskrit.
ATTC is designed as a way for Yoga teachers to deepen your understanding of basic Yogic principles and strengthen in your Sadhana, spiritual practices. During this month-long intensive the student experiences the purifying and transformative power of an intermediate level Yoga practice. This unique and informative training course will help you dive deeper into the path of meditation focusing on the more subtle aspects of Yoga. The course is taught by senior disciples of Swami Vishnudevananda and is considered to be the next step after the 200-hour Yoga Teachers' Training Course.
Yoga Asanas: Progress in your yoga asana practice (advanced variations and prolonged holding of the postures), and increase your concentration.
Pranayama: One hour of practice each morning including advanced pranayama, mudras and bandhas.
Vedanta: Study of the different philosophical schools of India, Vedantic theory and practice, and Vedantic meditation techniques.
Raja Yoga: In-depth study of Patanjali Yoga Sutras for deeper understanding of how to control and eventually transcend the mind.
Sanskrit: The alphabet, pronunciation and the writing of sacred mantras and common Yogic vocabulary.
Anatomy and Physiology: Functioning of the nervous and the endocrine systems in relation to the practice of Yoga.
Karma Yoga and Bhakti Yoga: Inner attitudes of selfless service, the nine modes of Bhakti as a means for transforming emotions into love and devotion.
Qualifications for Admission
The course is open for Yoga teachers who have graduated from the Sivananda 200hr Yoga Teachers Training Course or the Integral Yoga 200hr Teachers Training Course.

Attendance at all activities is mandatory. Changes in the program may occur from time to time.
Each Friday is a day off. Students are required to attend morning pranayama, morning and evening satsangs as well as to complete their one-hour of karma yoga. The rest of the day is free for their own personal study and activities.

Director of the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Ranch and Acharya (senior teacher) in the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centers organization, Srinivasan has dedicated his life to the propagation of the classical teachings of Yoga. An internationally recognized teacher of Raja Yoga and Hatha Yoga, Srinivasan served and studied with his guru and Yoga master, Swami Vishnudevananda, and now teaches around the world, continuing to carry the teachings as a direct disciple.
As acharya, Srinivasan leads our team of teachers, conducts morning satsangs at the ashram, and leads workshops on various aspects of yoga philosophy and practice. He also leads the ashram's move toward Earth Care and sustainability, finding an effortless union between Permaculture and Yoga. He is a knowledgable and compassionate teacher whose life mission is empowering all with the peace and wisdom of Yoga.
Swami Brahmananda is Manager of the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Retreat and senior staff of the Sivananda organization. A long-time practitioner of Yoga, he regularly teaches Yoga philosophy and meditation for the Sivananda Yoga Teacher Training Courses as well as meditation immersion courses. He is a much-loved, inspiring, and knowledgeable teacher.
Swami Paramananda, manager of the Sivananda Yoga Ranch, has been dedicated to the practices of Yoga for nearly a decade. Through his intense devotion to Yoga and his great sense of humor, Swami Paramananda is a wonderful teacher who effortlessly weaves classical yoga teachings into today's modern lifestyle.
Swami Satyapremananda is director of the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center in Chicago. She is a regular teacher at teacher training courses at the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Ranch in New York and has been involved in service and sadhana at the Sivananda Ashrams in California and Canada. She recently took initiation as a sannyasin, confirming her commitment to spiritual life and to service of the teachers Swami Sivananda and Swami Vishnudevananda. Her favorite sadhana is singing the names of God.
Shyam is a certified Hatha Yoga teacher and graduate of the Sivananda Yoga Teacher Training Courses (TTC, ATTC). He co-directs the Yoga Warehouse, an Affiliated Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with his wife, Mohini. Shyam is an experienced Hatha Yoga teacher who works with serious students of all levels. For the past several years, he has been a lead teacher for the Sivananda TTC program in Paradise Island Bahamas.
Krsnapriya has been a teacher and volunteer staff at Sivananda Ashrams and centers for many years. She is a Licensed Massage Therapist and Bodyworker, dedicated yoga practitioner, Sivananda Yoga teacher since 2006, Advanced Yoga Teacher since 2009, and has taught Anatomy and Physiology at the Yoga Ranch since 2009. She has also been a Raw Food and Life Food educator and chef.
