Since 1968, when Swami Vishnudevananda created the first Yoga Teachers' Training Course ever taught in the West, his vision was to establish a world of peace, by educating each person on how to obtain the inner peace within. Swamiji designed the Teachers' Training Course (TTC) to closely resemble India's ancient Gurukula System, in which the student's daily life is a practical immersion of Yoga teachings. It is this approach that the month-long structure provides you with the deepest experience and connection.
The course is registered with the Yoga Alliance at a 200-hour level. It is highly encouraged for TTC grads, or yoga teachers from other lineages, to participate in to refresh, renew and enhance your understanding of Yoga's ancient philosophy and lifestyle.
