Celebration Description

All night vigil, chanting, and celebration of Pure Consciousness in the form of Lord Siva. A once a year opportunity not to be missed. There will be four special Puja ceremonies throughout the night. We will conclude by 5am with a feast. Prasad and Flower offerings are welcome.

There are no program costs for this event. Overnight guests accommodation costs not included.  Call our registration office to book your overnight accommodations.

Swami Sadasivananda

Swami Sadasivananda is a direct disciple of Swami Vishnudevananda, the director of the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center, New York and an Acharya, or senior teacher, in the Sivananda Yoga Tradition. Swami Sadasivananda is known for his deep knowledge of sanskrit language and the yoga and vedanta scriptures, which he shares with humor and joy. An accomplished musician, he artfully expresses his devotion through music and kirtan.


Srinivasan

Director and senior teacher (acharya) of the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Ranch, Srinivasan has dedicated his life to the propagation the classical teachings of Yoga. Srinivasan served and studied with his guru and yoga master, Swami Vishnudevananda, for sixteen years and now continues to carry the teachings as a direct disciple.

As acharya, Srinivasan leads our team of teacher trainers, conducts the morning satsangs at the ashram, and leads workshops on various aspects of yoga philosophy and practice. He also leads the ashram's move toward Earth Care and sustainability, finding an effortless union between Permaculture and Yoga. He is a knowledgable and compassionate teacher whose life mission is empowering all with the peace and wisdom of Yoga.


Swami Ambikananda

Swami Ambikananda is the Ashram's resident sannyasa, or monk. She exemplifies Yoga as a joyful, light-hearted practice and has a contagious laugh that mirrors her approach to life. Through her dedication to the practices, her caring service and devotion, she brings an upbeat approach to Yoga, the gardens and the satsang hall.


Mahadev Chaitanya

Mahadev Chaitanya, manager of the Sivananda Yoga Ranch, has been dedicated to the practices of Yoga for nearly a decade. Through his intense devotion to Yoga and his great sense of humor, Mahadev Chaitanya is a wonderful teacher who effortlessly weaves classical yoga teachings into today's modern lifestyle. 


Anoop Punnackal Damodharan

Anoop Punnackal Damodharan, a Tantric Priest from Kerala, South India is the resident priest at the Sivananda Yoga Ranch in New York. He comes from a long line of Tantric Priests and is an exceptional teacher of Bhakti Yoga, the path of devotion.

He is trained in the proper use of mudras (hand gestures) and the proper chanting of mantras for positive energy, positive thinking, and purification of the mind.

Anoop is in residence at the Yoga Ranch every March through November. He spends the winter with his family in India.
