Chair Yoga Training Course
Learn how to teach a complete Sivananda class with the use of a chair and explore how to adapt the class for those with limited mobility. Practicing in a chair offers students with limited mobility the opportunity to experience the benefits of Yoga. This program will offer you the tools to help students build strength, awareness and confidence and to increase their mental and physical well-being.
Other topics taught include anatomy of aging, tools for communicating with a population that often has limited hearing and sight and how to approach retirement homes and community. While designed for yoga teachers, those who work regularly with the elderly or wish to share yoga with loved ones can also benefit from this training. The course will count as 20 hrs credit for continuing education with the yoga alliance.
