‘Deep Listening and Nada Yoga,’ Rev. Jorge Alfano, Sat 12pm

The art of ‘Deep Listening’ will allow us to not only listen with our ears but also use our higher listening senses and in this way listen to ourselves and others with a whole set of new tools, these will provide a better relationship with our inner world as well as the ‘outer world’ of Resonance with nature, humans, animals, etc. This will take us into the ancient practice of NADA YOGA, the yoga of sound, as taught by Swami Sivananda of India. We’ll learn how to listen to our nervous systems through the Anahata sounds, elemental listening and Chakra activation through the Bija Mantras for the purpose of everyday wellness, psychological and spiritual well-being. ‘Cymatics,’ the amazing visual demonstration of matter modified by vibration, will guide us into the awareness of how life and the universe (inside and outside) is affected by sound, including the healing and prevention of cellular ‘disharmony’ or stress as explained by Dr. Hans Jenny.

‘DRUMANTRA: Mantra Chanting, Guided Meditation Journey & Drumming,’ Jeff Deen, Sat 2pm

Join tabla player and sound healer Jeff Deen of Drumming for Wellness on a guided meditation journey and mantra practice that will open you heart, reprogram limiting beliefs and energy patterns and activate dormant potentials within you. Jeff combines specific rhythmic patterns on the tabla with the rhythms of particular Sanskrit mantras to create a more impactful mantra practice. The rhythms of the drums and mantras, combined with guided imagery, create a unique meditation journey- an exploration of the power of sound to transform your energy.

‘Reprogramming the Mind and Body through Sound,’ Jeff Deen, Sun 12pm

Join drummer and sound healer Jeff Deen of Drumming for Wellness on this experiential journey into the power of sound and rhythm as tools for transformation of consciousness and as tools for healing the body. Experience which frequencies resonate with your current energy state and your desired energy state. We will be focusing on specific intentions, amplified by sound, in order to reprogram the cellular memories of our bodies. You will be given tools and techniques that you can apply at home to continue upgrading your energy system through sound and intention.

Jeff Deen

Jeff Deen was born with music in his heart and rhythm in his hands. Through drumming, Jeff is able to share a gift of empowerment, upliftment and healing. Jeff and his drums are instruments of healing. A former attorney, Jeff currently divides his schedule between performing and composing as a musician, and facilitating sacred transformational drumming circles. Jeff’s mission is to connect people with their innermost essence and to connect people to each other through transformational and meditative drumming. For Jeff, drumming is a sacred activity, one which connects him to the infinite state of presence, love and peace that some would call the Divine. Through his drumming, Jeff is able to transmit this deep state of presence and connection to the audience or participants in the sacred drum circle. Jeff invites others to join him in a state of intense presence, with the drums anchoring that state. When several are joined together in this state of presence, communion and receptivity, profound transformation and healing may occur. www.drummingforwellness.com
