In our search for happiness, we turn to external objects and events for satisfaction. Through the practice of meditation, learn how to witness the outgoing tendencies of the mind and connect to the true source of our happiness, which lies within.

Join us for a five-day meditation immersion program with Padmavati, long-term Sivananda staff member and teacher, and co-producer of the Sivananda Yoga Book of Meditation.
The course will cover all aspects of the theory and practice of meditation including daily, meditation practices, group chanting, concentration exercises and workshops. Students will be encouraged to maintain a quiet existence while at the Ashram following its daily schedule.

Registration Information

The course tuition (listed above) is for the whole program. Your accommodation rate includes meals, Satsangs, and Hatha yoga classes which are offered daily.

Padmavati is a long-time member of the Sivananda Organization who has been teaching meditation for over twenty years, both in our Teachers’ Training Courses and in our Centers and Ashrams around the world. She is now based in our Ashrams in Canada and India. She is the editor of the India edition of YogaLife magazine and closely involved with editing many of the organization’s publications. She helped produce and edit the Sivananda Book of Meditation. She is known to be warm and engaging and teaches with great humor.

Satsang & Yoga Classes

Satsang consists of a 30-minute silent meditation, followed by 30 minutes of spiritual chanting (kirtan), and finishes with 30 minutes of spiritual lecture.
Daily attendance at both Satsangs and Hatha Yoga Classes is encouraged for your health and well-being and to maintain the proper rhythm and atmosphere of the ashram community.
