Join us for a Warriors at Ease Retreat that offers a deep dive into the practices of yoga, meditation, and yoga philosophy! This retreat is special because it’s a civilian-veteran retreat, designed to bring people together for a week of personal reflection, transformation and growth. Through this unique combination, participants will have the opportunity to learn from one another and develop a deeper sense of connection amidst deep practice.
Attendees can expect a daily program that includes yoga, iRest Yoga Nidra, Vedanta lectures, silent meditation, breathing practices, creativity practices, vegetarian food, personal reflection time, and community fun with fellow attendees. As a special surprise for Winter Creativity Retreat participants, Hipólito Arriaga-Harari III and Anthony Torres Jr. will be leading us in some truly unique creativity experiences and collaborations! There will also be two days of silence during the week, in which participants are invited to adhere to Mauna (Sanskrit for “silence”) throughout the day’s activities.
The focus is on going deep into the practices of yoga and meditation. There will be no difference in participation between veterans, civilians, or providers of the retreat. We are all in this together, we will all be doing the practices. We will all be sharing in the experience.
This retreat is open to veterans and civilians who already have a regular meditation and yoga practice and are interested in an advanced retreat. This retreat will maintain a strict retreat schedule. It is rigorous, but we are inviting people who are serious practitioners and who from their own personal interest want to experience Advanced Retreat.

Molly Birkholm is the Executive Director and co-founder of Warriors at Ease. She is a leader in iRest™ Yoga Nidra, Sivananda Yoga, and treating trauma with yoga and meditation. Molly serves as Director of Human Trafficking Relief and as an iRest Trainer for the Integrative Restoration Institute. She is the co-owner of the Yoga Center of Key Biscayne. Molly leads retreats and teacher training worldwide, has created several iRest Yoga Nidra CDs, a hatha yoga DVD, and is the author of an upcoming book. Molly led cutting-edge Department of Defense and National Institutes of Health funded research measuring the effects of meditation on Trauma. She is a “Featured Teacher” each month for Yoga International with a series of videos and articles. Molly also serves as an advocate for veterans, human trafficking survivors, and women’s empowerment initiatives.
Swami Paramananda, manager of the Sivananda Yoga Ranch, has been dedicated to the practices of Yoga for nearly a decade. Through his intense devotion to Yoga and his great sense of humor, Swami Paramananda is a wonderful teacher who effortlessly weaves classical yoga teachings into today’s modern lifestyle.
Hipólito Arriaga was born and raised in the South Bronx. In 2003 at age 19 he joined the U.S. Marine Corps where he served as an artilleryman. Following four years of service, which included two deployments to Iraq, he separated from the military honorably. Post service, he began seeking healing for the various injuries he sustained, both physical and invisible, leading him on an ever-evolving journey of self-discovery.
Hipólito is a writer and performer for the Combat Hippies. He’s also trained in Bapiste Power Yoga and Trauma Conscious Yoga. And serves as a wilderness expedition leader with No Barriers Warriors. His performance and writing experience include “AMAL” and “Conscience Under Fire”.

Satsang & Yoga Classes
Satsang consists of a 30-minute silent meditation, followed by 30 minutes of spiritual chanting (kirtan), and finishes with 30 minutes of spiritual lecture.
Daily attendance at both Satsangs and Hatha Yoga Classes is encouraged for your health and well-being and to maintain the proper rhythm and atmosphere of the ashram community.
